Living in the Moment

I believe that "living in the moment"
isn't just about
skydiving
or bungee jumping
or racecar driving
or mountain climbing.
Its about looking up from your work on the kitchen table
and seeing everything most precious to you
haloed in the late afternoon glow.

These are the moments I want to live in.

  1. Hey I recognize that book! It's like torture in paperback. Also have I ever told you how awesome your freckles are?

  2. I love the family picture you have on your blog. I agree with Melody, your freckles are awesome and you have me to thank for them.

  3. That was so sweet. Your little guy is getting so big! I'm happy for you that you get to spend so much time with him. Those are the moments you can't get back!

  4. Beautiful. And what a cute little baby...:) Can I steal him for a few years? I love the dark brown walls, btw. Looks awesome. When I get a house, one day, I will hire you to decorate it (I hope you don't mind doing pro-bono work). :)

  6. Beautiful! Which book was Mel talking about? I thought Keaton was studying nutrition.

  7. He is studying nutrition, and so is she, she's in concurrent enrollment so they are taking the same class! And they both hate it! He was trying to study for the test he was supposed to take that day (his birthday no less) and Jamison kept running his tractor into his feet so Keaton kept laughing and paying attention to Jamison instead of studying. I loved watching it...until I finally gave in an joined Jamison on the floor so Keaton could get some study time uninterrupted!
